(thrift on the cliffs)
I’ve never been too fond of a manicured and preened garden. Those that are immaculately measured out, and tidied. I’m looking for a wild exhuberant garden, one that follows the seasons, and feeds the wildlife that live here. So I like to take some inspiration from the nature around us. We’re lucky to live close to two nature reserves – Seaford Head, which is part of the South Downs National Park and the Ouse Valley, including Tide Mills. Every time I do find time to go down there, there is something new to see, it’s a constantly changing landscape.
an amazing carpet of yellow near Tidemills (horseshoe vetch?)
Beautiful mallow on the downs… and an amazing array of wild plants thriving on the shingle beach
Wild and wonderful
